How does the dial-in coach work?

After each shot you tell Brewmie how it tasted (sour, bitter, channelling, gusher, weak, balanced). Brewmie combines that with the shot time, your grinder model, the bean age, roast level, and ambient conditions to suggest one specific change for the next shot. Not 'go a bit finer.' Grind 31.5 to 30.5, with the reason underneath.

Yes, Brewmie is free to download and use. The shot timer, recipe set, and dial-in coach are included. Premium is a one-off purchase at an introductory launch price, localised by store, that unlocks per-grinder dial units, lifetime shot history, personal benchmarks, and CSV export. There is no subscription, ever.

Which espresso machines and grinders does Brewmie support?

Brewmie ships with profiles for 25+ machine brands and 100+ grinder models, including La Marzocco Linea Mini, Profitec, ECM, Lelit Bianca, Sage / Breville Barista, Niche Zero, DF64, Eureka Mignon, and the common single-dosing flat and conical burr grinders. If your grinder is missing, you can add a custom one.

How is Brewmie different from PuckYeah or Beanconqueror?

PuckYeah is a brew timer with a manual log. Beanconqueror is a detailed lab-style notebook. Brewmie sits in between: enough structure to tell you what to change next, light enough that you can pull a shot, rate, and dial in without typing essays. Brewmie's grinder unit translation is the headline feature: when the coach says 'grind 30.5,' that is your grinder's actual number, not a generic abstract.

Does Brewmie work offline?

Yes. Shots are saved locally and the coach runs on-device. Sign-in is optional and only used to sync premium across devices and back up your history.

Does Brewmie track me or share data?

No. Brewmie has no advertising SDKs, no data brokers, and no tracking. Anonymous product analytics can be disabled in Setup > Privacy. The app does not prompt for App Tracking Transparency because it does not track.
